We have a lot of ESP options. A lot more than 10 years ago.
And more choice is a double-edged sword:

I can save you the time now and just recommend Kit (affiliate) as the best newsletter platform for most creators to begin with. Yes, I’m an affiliate. But I’m also a long-time user and huge fan.

Don’t need to waste time trying to find the “right” option. Because you know what? The right option is the one that gets you started.
