How To Get Lucky on Purpose
“Again?!? You’ve got horseshoes up your butt!”
My brother won everything when we were growing up. Well, not everything — but that’s how it felt.
Every time we’d go to the grocery store, he’d crank the candy vending machines and candy would come out. It seemed like he was always getting lucky finding dollar bills, winning contests, or finding coins in arcade games.
It seemed like luck followed him.
But luck had little to do with his random winnings. He was simply doing things that I wasn’t.
He was getting lucky on purpose.
He’d created his own luck by entering contests, looking in vending machines for candy, and arcade games for coins.
I’d try one vending machine for candy, he’d try them all. More vending machines = more free candy opportunity.
My brother wasn’t so lucky as much as he was consistent.
Are you creating your own luck?
The lesson here is pretty clear.
You’re not going to build a creator business without a fair shake. Without a little bit (or a lot) of consistency.
